ARGENTINA POLO DAY
Be a polo player for a day. Learn the secrets of one of the most exclusive sports in the world, right here in Argentina.
You begin the day with an informative talk about polo and its ponies while you taste delicious empanadas and excellent argentine wine.
You will visit the pony line to observe the polo horses that will be playing the polo match and their guide will explain how polo horses are selected for the sport, their blood lineages and how they are trained.
You will learn also about the rules of the game, the equipment used by the polo horse and the player and the different shooting techniques.
You will attend a professional live polo match of 4 chukkas. With more than 30 horses in play, you will enjoy a fast paced polo game of pure adrenaline.
They are the only Polo Club to offer a polo game daily.
Lunchtime is part of this incredible Argentinian Experience, a complete barbeque that includes "asado", a grilled selection of meat and beef, accompanied by premium Argentine wines. You will have the unique opportunity to try delicious regional food (they also have a vegetarian option).
After spending some time walking through the beautiful countryside, you will take a polo lesson where you will learn to ride a horse, hold the mallet and hit the ball. You will end up sharing a mini polo match that will make you feel like a professional player!
At the end of the day, you will go on a relaxing horse ride on their curated trails specially designed for you to enjoy the campo argentino and its surroundings.
Horse-riding knowledge is not required, nor do you have to have previous Polo experience. They offer equipment and instruction for all levels.
This Full Polo Day program starts at 10:30hs and ends at 19hs. They can organize private tours on request.
ESTANCIA SANTA CANDIDA
Founded in 1847 by Urquiza (first president of Argentina) it is a National Historic Landmark. This palace is located in Entre Rios Province, a few hours drive from Buenos Aires, so you will need to spend at least a night there. It offers a wide variety of services for you to spend unforgettable days playing polo, fishing, hunting or just relaxing by the pool or at the sandy beaches of the Uruguay river.
